Going in at Beaverhouse and I'm assuming I'll have to self permit at the rangers station. Will I have to go back to the ranger station to check out?

The Beaverhouse ranger station is manned after (I think) May 23rd. You may want to call the park headquarters in Atikokan to be sure. (807) 597-2735. They'll also be able to answer your question about self-permitting if there's no one there.

If you're staying overnight in Atikokan, you can pick up your permit at the Atikokan ranger station the day before you enter. Just plan on getting there no later than about 3:30 or 3:45pm. The office closes at 4:15.

There is no requirement to stop at a ranger station to "check out". Just leave the park when your trip is done.
