Looked around the site and can't find if this has already been posted here somewhere?

I'm out fishing today and receive a call from Quetico Park informing me to purchase my fishing license prior to reaching Cache Bay because the system that they use is currently not working. I told her thank you for the info but I already did purchase my fishing license online.

I got the same phone call on Thursday. I also told her we already have our licenses. Thanked her for the heads up

So Quetico Park called you directly to inform you of this? Was it a ranger or someone from the park HQ? Just curious, I've never had anyone from Quetico call me to inform me of any issues.

Not 100% sure but I thought the person that I talked to was from park HQ. didn't really talk long and I didn't ask a lot of questions. Once I told her we already had our license she said we were ok.

I believe she said her name was Sue from park HQ. I accidently hung up on her trying to get my phone out of my pocket. She called right back. Never happened to me before either and thought it is was pretty cool. Talked to these folks last year after our trip about Alex being charged for adult camping fees and they refunded us $142. Nice folks!

We leave on June 8 for 2 weeks :)

Very nice looking fish, can't wait to get to Quetico! I will be coming out June 8th, but through a different entry point. Thought for a second we might run into each other. They must be calling all of the people with permits to that entry to let them know about the issue. They want to make sure they sell you a license and that you are legal. I know I wouldn't be happy showing up there at the ranger station and having them say sorry our machine isn't working. More than likely I will always buy mine online from here on out.

Number one,that was very nice of them, and number two if your going to Quetico it makes sense just get your license ahead of time. You got it than and it is less hassle for you and also the Ranger at the various stations.

I agree very good customer service and very good advice on getting your license a head of time.

I have been at the Ranger stations when their license system has gone down. Internet/computers can be flaky out there. You plan all year for these trips makes sense to go in prepared. Also removes some of the clutter at the permit stations.--if you have ever been stuck behind or part of a group of nine guys all getting a fishing license you know what I mean....takes forever either way vs. a few keystrokes on a computer.

Been there done that,big group ahead of you,all got to get a license and probably all want to pay separately by credit card.

Can someone post a link to buy the license on line. I can't find where I did last trip.
