Nice report and pictures. It was windy where I was also. Thanks for sharing. --Goose

I believe it was my trip report (prisoners on pine) that you referred to in tour report. Obviously we struggled with the wind too. Those portages up to Gadwall @ Vale are among the steepest I've encountered in the BWCA, but they are neat little lakes - too bad the fishing was off. The mess on Gadwall did get cleaned up shortly afterwards. Thanks for taking the time to share your story @ photos. Its always fascinating to read a report about an area I've recently visited.

Thanks for the report and pictures. I haven't been to those lakes yet, but the wind can be a problem even on smaller lakes - sometimes they just become wind tunnels.

Yeah I think it was your trip report. I was a little worried after reading yours that we might get stuck for an extra day. Thankfully that wasn't the case for us.

Middle campsite, north side of pine lake, *has a survey pin/marker in the campsite*.. This is one of our favorite sites. We just called it the rock beach. I enjoyed your post, it brought back one of my best trip memories.

Thank you for sharing.
