Glad you had a great trip. I was fishing on the Columbia River near Rufus the end of the first week in June.
Did you like the trip to Ely? I know its a long drive but that has always been a favorite part of the trip to the BW. I usually take the pickup and camper. Can't do that anymore as we got a bigger camper and the canoe rack won't fit on it. I guess its fabrication time.

Great report fishguts. We took almost the same trip a week after u except my 2 younger boys were intimidated by the portage into brent from the argo side. I heard about the "muck" hole from Mark Zups and had a mental picture of me in it up to my neck. Otherwise we did Bottle-Iron-Crooked-Argo-Darky-Ballard-Wicksteed-Little Gratton-Pond-McAree-out at Black robe. Its a great part of Quetico-I suspect one day we will bump into eachother. Glad u had a nice trip

Finally got finished reading your report after starting a couple days ago. Real interesting comparing the weather you had with mine on the 8 days we overlapped. Great report and pics! --Goose
Soloing is sweet, but a good partner is "priceless."

thanks for the videos! the photos are pretty great, too. enjoyed reading about your fishing success but also managing the portages, landings with high water, and camp setup (tarp issues seems to be a common theme these days).
it's a long haul from Oregon and you guys sure seemed to make the most of it!
