Sounds like a great day trip, and certainly a beautiful one for your first time. Glad you had such a good one. Lovely photo.

Clearwater is a gem. You may have been there the same time we were. We stayed in Cabin8 for a week, August 17-24th.

Very nice picture of the falls! I've found that I now enjoy the exploring aspect of the BWCA more than just getting to camp and fishing, like we've always done in the past. It's nice to find scenery that you can relax and enjoy without a bunch of other people around :)

In two weeks I'm taking my girlfriend on this same route. This will be her first canoe trip and of course her first time into the BWCA. Thanks for the report!
