Wow! Crazy! We just went into Phoebe from Sawbill and I couldn't imagine doing that after 20 hours of paddling and portaging, especially in the dark!

Yes, it was a fun challenge, but I'll admit that it was nuts. We're going to stick with more relaxed trips for a while.

Wow. That's a heck of a day. My longest day was a run from east Gunflint to the Southern part of Ottertrack via the Border route.

I've been through some of those lakes (I like Tuscarora a lot) but I can't imagine pushing that hard that long with that much portaging. Nice work.

You saw a lot of nice country, but you must be a lot younger and stronger than I am ;). We saw some of the same, but took a week to do it.

Sorry Mocha, we didn't take many photos, but we put together a decent video of the trip!

Why? Sounds fun though.

I hope you don't get the impression that we are a couple of gung-ho guys who don't have time to appreciate the wilderness. We have both been on many trips in the Sawbill area, so we wanted to challenge ourselves by trying something new. At first the idea of paddling non-stop for 24 hours seemed ridiculous, but it grew on us until we finally had to try it.

I think it's awesome and I enjoyed the video a lot. When I think of how tired I can be after a 15-mile day in Quetico, it's also impressive. Yeah, it's not the way you want to trip all the time, but it's a cool challenge and you guys seemed to have fun. Thanks for sharing!

Just thought I'd chime in. (I'm the other nut case that went on this trip)

Enjoyed watching your video! Thanks for the portage information you shared with us before our trip up to Little Sag.
