Hello guys. I was looking at getting a new pair of traditional snowshoes this winter and I was wondering what you guys's experiences are with the GV line of traditional snowshoes and what your overall thought on them are? I was looking at getting some of their Hurons.

Thanks, Alex

Although I don't own a pair of traditional snowshoes I've tried a couple of the styles. I like the Ojibwe better than the Huron style. Easier to get thru grass and brush and you have more of a natural gait with them due to their shape. Your legs aren't out so far as with the Hurons. Plus you don't end up stepping on the other shoe as much.

everybody has their preference, and each design may deviate from the classic or borrow from another. Hurons should do you fine, I like them better than my modified Bear Paw, but they both have their uses, I'm sure somebody will say they like the MBP better than Huron. It depends on the terrain, and the individual pair you buy, and individual preference.
Also getting the right balance, how they attach to your feet is important, you won't like any design if that isn't right.
