Is it too late to winter camp next Monday?
South Lake as destination for 2 nights of winter camping. Is it safe?...smart?... doable?...

There will still be plenty of ice on the lakes up the Gunflint Trail.

How limited (snow cower) travel through the woods might be?
Will pulling sleds work better than backpacking? I missed this season's winter camping, therefore thinking about late season outing.
