That's just the raw wood yoke, not a removable one like the poster is looking for.

Cutting out the yoke from wood is really easy, especially if you have another to trace, but figuring out how to make it removable is a little more difficult. I don't believe there is an easy way to clamp to the Wenonah aluminum gunwales like there is with wood or the Bell style. Wenonah sells a kit to make a tandem yoke removable. Presumably that could be used on your solo too. They also make a yoke that attaches to the seat frame but that would be a lot harder to DIY and probably wouldn't float either, which I think should be mandatory for a removable yoke.

Look around in the archives. I know people have come up with their own designs before. You might get some good ideas.

Yoke clamps work great on wood and aluminum gunnels.

+1 These are what I used when I made the my yoke for the Rockstar. They work good and would recommend them.

How do those work on Wenonah aluminum gunwales? Bell's have a nice wide and flat surface on the inside of their aluminum gunwales, as do most wood ones, which makes them easy to clamp to. My recollection of Wenonah gunwales is that they don't have a flat surface to clamp to.

Or are these designed to reach over the top and capture the gunwale that way?
