Reluctantly parting with my Merrimack Baboosic.

It is a 14' solo made of carbon fiber / kevlar & has cherry ribs.
Has a teal gel coat.

Features;
ash gunnels
hardwood stems
cherry ribs
"Snowshoe weave" seat
kneeling pads

It is brilliant when paddled from a kneel. The handling is unlike any other canoe I've ever had. It doesn't have the speed of a Magic or a Prism, but it will put a smile on your face every time you're on the water. It is very good in waves.

The canoe is in Excellent condition.

I had planned to keep both this boat & my more utilitarian SR Tranquility, but I've decided to keep the Tranq because it's lighter & a bit faster, and I'm hoping to "one trip" portages on my BWCA solo trips this year.

Email for pics if you like.

I'm asking $1,300

Be sure and check out the reviews online.

Mike, I have a friend who was looking for one a few years ago. COuld you send a few more pics? I'll contact him this evening. Gypsy looks like she's really enjoying the ride (LOL)?

Hi Terry,

That was Maggie, the original Corgi Canoe partner.

Gypsy is holding on, and looks like she'll be spending lots of tent & canoe time with me this summer!

Nice to hear from you. hope you're well!

Mike, thanks for the beautiful boat! I passed quite a bit of open water on my way back home and can't wait to start getting on the water in my new boat!

Nice meeting you Michael!

Midwest Mountaineering has a solo canoe class as part of their Outdoor Expo the 3rd week of Apr. (Hopefully ice-out this year)

You might want to check it out. I learned a ton about solo canoeing & freestyling 2 years ago.

When I went, Dan Cooke taught it.

Cheers!

Mike

I'd like to send out a big thanks again to all the bwca.com members who helped me in my efforts to raise funds for Gypsy's cancer treatments by buying up my extra gear.

I was successful, and still have enough gear for solo tripping, though I wouldn't be able to outfit a group like I could before.

Gypsy is holding her own and the prognosis is good for her & I to spend another year or 2 together.

Hope to see you folks at events & on the water.

Cheers!

Mike
