Have a 4 day trip scheduled in August with my kids. Entry point at Nym.
Looking for recommendations on areas that would be a good place to base camp with kids.
Their priorities go more in the order of: swimming, exploring, and then fishing.

Thinking of McAlpine or Pickerel Narrows/Dore' Lake Area.

If I were to run a loop, it would be down through Maria, Jesse, Oriana, Hamberg, but I'm not sure if that would be too aggressive.

-Good shore fishing from camp would be a plus.

-We will have two 13 year old girls in their own canoe (they are proficient, but they're also 13)
-This will also be my middle daughters first trip and she is 8. She will be riding in the middle of my canoe on the trek, but will be sherpa help on the portages, also don't want to burn her out or give her a bad perception of canoe country, so I want to keep it fun and not too aggressive.

-Any recommendations?

Suggest McAlpine with the young one along. Three creek portages in and out. One day each way and two days of base camping.
If you had 5 days, the described loop would be perfect.
