No. They're from a small lake in mid-Missouri.

Another Missouri crappie outing.

Impressive bluegill. I had fun catching some similar beauties in the Kawishiwi River a long time ago. I don't think any of mine were THAT big though.

Those are some nice Flatheads podgeo. I have caught one nice Flathead in my life and quickly concluded they are a serious customer. Did you catch them on a sunnie?

No you can not use game fish in Minnesota as bait. But you can use Mooneye , goldeye, sheephead, bullhead and suckers from infested waters just as long as you use them in the same waters you are fishing. Or you can catch bullheads from other waters to use as bait up to 7" is considered bait. Bullheads From 7-10" can be used but they count towards your daily possession limit. And most be kept in tap water.
We go to a pond and catch bullheads and use them or buy them at $5 a piece from a bait store that's a 30 minute drive one way. Once in while we'll use decoy suckers 12-14" long, but the bullheads work the best.
The first picture I got that one around 1130 pm July 1. The other picture with me in yellow around 2am father day weekend. That's my biggest to date 39" guess around 25-30# was like lifting a log off the bottom even after a 20 minute fight.
Going out again tonight and tomorrow hope to get in the 40+ club someday. Then I'll sleep most of Sunday because it usually 3-4 In morning when I get back in.

I'm not sure how to load a photo. But I'n BPs original post. The guy holding 2 5lb+ smallmouth with his bears hat and a big stoggie is classic. Added touch was turning around in the front of the canoe and kneeling on the seat to get that shot.

No idea if this counts as a trophy but I'm guessing it's nearing the max size they get in most BWCA lakes. I had another one break me off as I tried to get it out of the water that was at least this big, maybe bigger. The little lake near the mountains were visited didn't have many of them but the ones in there were BIG.

As far as 'eyes go, well I've only ever caught one of any note and you guys have probably seen it before but hey, you've gotta be proud of your accomplishments :)

The bass isn't a trophy, but he sure was fun, striking again and again at my surface lure before I finally hooked him as I was lifting the lure out of the water beside my canoe. I treasure the pike pic because I release big pike in the water beside my canoe for their sake and mine. So, one evening, I used an abandoned, leaky boat, putting an outboard on it, to finally get a big pike pic.

Hah!!! I call bullshit! No mere mortal can hold a 78 lb fish like that. Nice try though. "

The experienced fishermen know to hold the fish between themselves and the camera - further from their body and close to the camera ;-) "

Some very nice fish. Here is my son last summer in Quetico. After full day of travel I knew he needed to get a line in the water. 30 minutes later, he landed this beast ( ~ 42 ")
