The day before our scheduled canoe trip to Quetico Provincial Park on June 18th, my partner Dave, (A.K.A. Canoe42) and I stopped by Voyageur Brewing Company in Grand Marais, Minnesota. As luck would have it, we knew friend and fellow bwca.com member Jerry Vandiver and his talented fiddle player Amberly Rosen were scheduled to play a gig there that afternoon. As we walked through the parking lot, Jerry, his wife Gracie, and Amberly arrived minutes later.

We spent the next three hours listening to Jerry and Amberly perform some wonderful canoeing inspired songs while enjoying some tasty craft beers and fine food. What a fantastic way to start a canoe trip by enjoying some great music with great friends! Thanks Jerry and Amberly for a great time and a very inspiring start to our Quetico adventure!
