Just picked up a new-to-me Lean plus from Brent on the for sale forum here, and after setting it up in my front yard, I cannot wait to play with it on my upcoming trip! I love rigging tarps, so this new toy should be a blast! And it is a beautiful red and yellow number; fast and vibrant.

Love mine, even if I do use other shelters. Lots of options on setup, have fun with it!

It's a very nice addition to the tent quiver. Sounds like you got one in good fast colors. It'll will be good solo or for group space. I have had fun mixing and matching ground tarps, awning setups, heights etc. I use prusiks on the ridgeline, so I can fiddle.

Beware, like tarps, it does lead to a growing rope habit :)

Yeah, the rope thing; never can have enough cordage! Rather than the prusik, I like the klemheist. For some reason, it is easier for me to use.

I use the granny not that I can't do the others, I just can't spell them. Lol

You might want to get one of the ridgeline stuff sacks and set it up with the ridgeline system, which simplifies it when you are solo, especially if it's windy. With plenty of cordage and stakes and you can get a very solid setup. Used mine in pretty strong winds last fall, but had it staked down and guyed out solidly. I found I could close the door up fairly tightly with a stake on each side close to the front door; just had to reach out and put the end awning loops over them.

I got one of the ridgeline sacks for one of my tarps, and that was my favorite purchase in a long time! Good idea to spring for one for the Lean.

You could always put a grommet in the bottom of the Lean stuff sack you already have. Maybe sew in a little piece of reinforcement material first. Hardware store should have the grommets+madrel for a few bucks.

Good idea, but I already placed my order (along with a couple hanks of Dan's reflective cordage).

Here is a pic of a tarp set up with the stuff sack (orange). Would be the same for the Lean.
