Curious what your most used/favorite tents are and why. Also, a pic or two would be great.

The two of mine that get used the most are my BA Copper Spur 2 and my Nemo Losi 3. I solo more often than not, and the Copper Spur 2 is a killer tent in terms of size and weight for a solo. I am also quite rough on my gear (not necessarily on purpose), and the Copper Spur has held up really well. When I travel with someone else, the Losi 3 is my favorite. Roomy, tough and fairly light for a 3 person. Here is a pic from my recent 2 week Quetico trip with my daughter. She now prefers her own tent, so she got the Copper Spur and I had the Losi-which was huge for one person! Just picked up a used CCS Lean Plus to avoid this situation when we go next year.

Mark, ya opened a can-o-worm with me!
Currently 10 tents and a Lean1+ downstairs. All get used thru the year, like em all. But Favorites????????
Lean1+ has mucho use and will never part from me.

Big Sky International Chinook Solo, optioned for 4 season use, fully self standing including vestibules, under 4 pounds packed with everything.
Newest addition to replace another favorite (BA BigHouse 4), REI Kingdome 6 purchased today at the REI Garage sale for $170.
BA BigHouse will go up for sale, but was favorite large tent till now.
Walrus Hurricane Hole, Mountain Hardware Stilletto and Edge, Eureka Alpine Meadows and Mountain Pass Solo, Lackee&Joy 10x12 canvas cabin, other favorites but now gone.

Ken, I knew I could count on you! Ever since you picked up that Big Sky I have had my eyes on one, but I think I will see how the Lean does in the winter. Also toying with the idea of making my own tipi tent (something like a Seek product) for the winter. Made the plans and have some old sheets to use for a mock-up, just have not found the time to put it together.

Hilleberg Akto.i have used several tents in the last 30 years from a Timberline to a small
almost all mesh Eureka.
I got the Akto because I wanted a small light weight tent that would be easy on the portages.it's also "bomb proof". I just use it for sleeping in order to keep it dry and clean inside,no food allowed!
a Baker shelter is used as a cook shack/living room.wind and bug proof I spent a lot of time in it.

by the way here is a tent I've used at drive in camps before leaving for the Park'
a Camel tent from some company down South.this is a test pitch in my yard.

I've got 7 tents, but the one used most often for canoe camping is my Marmot Hideaway 4. It's no longer made. Not super light, but I don't need it to be canoe camping. Perfect for 2 guys and gear. Has been in several rainstorms and never a drop in that tent.

Eureka Timberline 4XT which is 11 years old is my go to for the BWCA, vestibule and space is perfect for the wife and I. Recently picked up an Alps Extreme 3 which we used in RMNP, two doors, two vestibules too! Lots of room for gear!

That picture was after a heavy rain!

I really like my Big Agnes Copper Spur UL2 for solo tripping. It is light and roomy with good head height, great airflow/ventilation for summer and rainproof.

I use a Sierra Designs Lightning XT 4 person tent when I go with a group.

I really like the custom made screen house used on group trips. It is a CCS 10x14 tarp with a 10x10 Bug No see-um netting canopy $59.99 from Bass Pro ( a 12x12 can be had for $79.99). Lightweight and keeps mosquitos at bay at night sipping a cocktail.

Interested in the bug canopy. How tall is it? There are no specs on the BP page.

I have a BA Emerald 3 for canoe country and a Eureka Alpine Meadows (my former canoe tent) for car camping. I added the optional huge vestibule to the Emerald 3 this past spring. It's like having an attached garage on your tent.

SOB has one with both vestibules, he will not let me steal it or I would rate way up there!

I can not find specs either. I believe it is 8 ft. tall in center that goes in center of tarp. I think the walls are 6 feet tall and I use small caribiners to attach to CCS tarp.

I am 6 ft. tall and have no problem with walking in and out of bug tent awning.

I have seven shelters that can be classified as tents, including one tent cot.
But there are two that I use almost all the time.

Alps Chaos - got it for $135 several years ago and it is a trooper, been through most everything you could throw at it. Not the lightest or the roomiest but a workhorse and the easiest/quickest tent I have ever put up. It is a 2 man used as a solo exclusively because when camping I just don't sleep with others in the BWCA or otherwise(I snore a bit). I like good values and trusted equipment and this has fit the bill on both counts.

Last year I decided that sleeping in the Alps when I am car camping is silly,, why not get a tent I can walk into, nearly stand up in, and that can accommodate my comfy cot. So i bought a Marmot Limestone 4 person tent and it was a good move. Pretty bulletproof and I enjoy the extra room and convenience. I did bring this to the BWCA last August when we brought two newbies, father and son into Crocodile Lake(one portage and done) and let them sleep in it. They were very comfortable and Marmots quality and ability to withstand bad weather are well known. Not sure if I will ever bring it to the BWCA although it would be tempting on a real easy trip or if I ever need to break my sleep alone rule.

Most used tent a Copper Spur UL1. Small, light and sleek. Very dry.

Also quite fond of my Seedhouse 2. Not as light or small, but quick to assemble and stellar in lousy weather. Able to stand up to a surprise snow storm on an April Q trip.

Do you have a link for this, couldn't find it.

Treblehook ....

Here you go:

Bass Pro Screen Room

You only get bug netting 10 x 10 or 12x12 .... you don't get the legs and canopy as that is extra. I was at the Peoria IL Bass Pro Shop and saw them in stock.
