i'll be off on Sunday for what I hope will be a two week solo.
it will be my 31st year .i plan to go down the LIS and just paddle around LaCroix to save on the need to portage. i'll be posting videos on YouTube at some point.
i'm 70 and needless to say that still being able to do this is a gift.

Congrats! It's my 31st year too! Started my BWCA "career" with a visit to Dorothy Molter the last year she was there. This year looking forward to putting in to Clearwater Lake off of the Gunflint Trail 5 weeks from today!

Storms were not that bad. Mostly rain and a little lighting and not too much wind like the earlier storms. Good to play it safe though.

In year 31, your record speaks for itself. Good call on pulling the plug; why not? It'll still be there in a month. That's what experience looks like, folks.

Nice you were able to re-plan. Congrats on 31... definitely an inspiration.
