Doubt that many folks will read the report, but anyway I blogged the whole trip TEXT ONLY document LINK Don't know when (or if) I'll get around to the laborious task of selecting and uploading photos... --Goose

Finished reading the rest of the report. What a great trip. Glad to read that everything worked out for you. If the no name lake you wrote about is the one between Jeff and west then I agree. That is a great little lake. I am a big fan of West. I also loved the big points on the portage to Jeff. That is nice loop that you went on.

I scrolled thru the pictures but haven't read the report yet. I see you took fishing poles but no fish pictures? Did you get any fishing in?
Great pictures overall. Like the small streams, canoe, beach shots, etc.

I went ahead and read the blog post ending. I really enjoyed it especially because I covered some of that area a week before you so could relate very well. On silence I camped at the site nearest to the Agnes portage. It doesn't sound like you picked that one. I really loved that site but it faces west. Really nice all around.
You mention the hard low water landings. Yep, I experienced lots of boulder fields. Remember the short portage to Agnes? That landing was incredibly difficult to get my dog out. I also battled some tough southerly winds down Agnes but I had to go all the way to the Meadows portages then into Sunday. I was really bushed after that.
I had intended to go through East Lk. then Keff etc. to North Bay but questioned the water level in that creek and then the wind on North Bay and Bayley Bay. I decided to play it safe and hole up for a layover on Sunday from Agnes.
Now, explain to me how you managed to save the bacon till your last day? I found that incredible. Thanks for the write up but I miss the pics. The ones you posted are fantastic.

Still...It's bacon for Pete's sake! That's discipline my friend.
I've decided I'm done going from PP for a while. Time for new vistas and adventures so I want to start entering from the north in the future. I've been going from PP since 1988.

Oh, yeah, I've got "will power." I've done a lot of southern Q the last few years, probably will be heading back to the North side in 2017. It's all good! Maybe we'll cross paths sometime. --Goose

I might end up being embarrassed by asking this question, but there's a picture of a furry little brownish gray creature in one of the photos. The light is natural, as far as I can tell, so it's not after dark. What is that animal?

Carmike: I believe its a Vole. Similar to a mole or shrew. There were three there at one time but I only got one to "pose." --Goose
