Wow, what a day. Piragis wasn't open yet so I drove to South Hegman and snowshoed out to the pictographs. Round trip walk was about two hours. Came back and John at vno let me plug in my phone for a bit cause it was getting low. Of course I had to buy a couple things. Then mosied down and had quite a chat with Great Outdoors. Of course he doesn't like to talk... well.. maybe a little. What a great guy. He pretty much had to close his doors till spring due to the Cisco ordeal, unless they give him his Cisco s back. He's caught in limbo right now. Still haven't been able to charge anyone with anything. Then on to Piragis and the one thing I really came for was boots and none my size. But I managed to buy plenty anyway, haha. Home in time to go clean the hall for the steak feed Saturday. Of course Edith Lindquist passed away, so we have to ready the hall for the lunch after the funeral and make up a plan to convert it to our steak feed setup right after on Friday night. But oh what a day! A person has to make use of such good days. Tomorrow I have to join the rest of society and work. Yippee!

Sounds like a great day Ben. Wish I could have came with you.
The little boy has his truck & Uhaul loaded and heading east in the morning. Went through a couple totes yesterday and got him some camping gear but I told him food is his responsibility now. Does that mean Dad can buy gear for replacements?
Although I see his mother has cinnamon rolls out on the counter rising. Wonder if I will get one in the morning. I doubt the rolls will survive to Waterloo. You know how he likes his food.

Ben in the winter it is so nice to get out in the woods or on a lake. The air seems so fresh and the white snow makes everything seem so clean. Also the winter time it seems like we just slow down a little and enjoy everything a little more.
Went cross country skiing around home, seen a few deer and a wolf track.
People who don't do a winter vacation up north in the winter are really missing something.

Yeah Pinetree I agree. My doctor didn't realize the specialist I was going to dropped the ball. I was supposed to be hooked up with another specialist to determine what I needed. Meanwhile drugs ran out and right when my doctor had gone on vacation. Funny how fast you can go backwards. I told my doc to just get me to where I can paddle. I'm going to condition myself and start packing. I'm tripping later this year no matter what. So I'll be snowshoeing out my door every chance I get. I have some deer and stuff hanging out here. But it is cool to experiance the BWCA in the winter. I'll post some pictures when I'm on WiFi, I used up all my high speed for the month.
