Hello,
With all this SLUSH talk...we're considering finding a trail we can hike and then camp on or at the end...Does anyone know if the Angleworm is marked and or passable in the Winter? Would we access it through Hegman or is there another parking lot for Angleworm?
Thanks!

There is a separate Angleworm entry.
The Angleworm trail is easy to do in winter. I recommend taking the Angleworm trail and not through Hegman as it is more scenic and you don't have to worry about lake ice/slush.
Make sure you get a decent map of the trail.

Hey Cedar Leaf - we are also considering a land trail, but I will call the week before we head up for a slush/snow report.
Angleworm is a very good choice. Lots of people winter camp thru there.
The Sioux Hustler Trail is another option... but is much further up the Echo Trail.

Thanks for the advice!
