I just made this same comment in a thread below, but since the s-word is on everyone's mind, I want to let you know that lake conditions are perfect right now. My brother-in-law (wharrier) and I just spent 4 days on the north end of Sawbill, and we did not come upon even the tiniest, remotest bit of slush on our trips up and down the length of the lake. The ice is nice and solid and up-to-the-auger-handle-deep, and the snow on top was crusted over, with some windswept snow on top from the weekend flurries.
