Snowtrekker tent has arrived, camped at State Park (loved it) and now ready to camp in BWCA. Looking for place to camp not too far from car (first time away from water sources and such) where we can ski the Central Gunflint ski trails ... any advice on the campsite on East Bearskin Lake or the sites on Clearwater? Or any other ideas where to camp near groomed ski trails... thanks!!

Moon Lake, Deer Lake, Swamp Lake, Arrow lake or Canoe.

I am sure you know not to pull a sled down the ski trail. it will mess it up for those who follow.

give golden eagle lodge a call. they have a private campground on their property, NOT at all sure if they allow winter camping. you could pick up your ski passes and map and ski right from there! if they don't allow camping maybe they could offer some suggestions.

Grand Marais Rec Park, Kimball lake, Trails End Campground.

Thanks Dan!
Yes, very aware of not impacting beautiful groomed trails.

Thanks Mocha! I actually did call Golden Eagle lodge few weeks back, very friendly and ok to camp at the park and they sell wood which is helpful.... so I am considering that as an alternative to going into the BWCA.
