With the ice thinning in the Cities, anyoneone else looking forward to some crappie fishing from the canoe?

We used to catch them shortly after ice out where small creeks would enter the lake, even better if the small creek is in a bay. A "pinky" jig and a little bobber floated in the current out into the lake would really get them some days. Lotta fun!
