Anybody see these yet? A good friend, and the guy who got me into fishing up north, just told me about them so I went and picked a few up. He ran into David Fritts at a tackle shop recently in Indianapolis and had a chance to talk to him about the new Berkley crank bait lineup.

I guess Fritts helped them create this new line and they're really supposed to be a hot bait (He also helped create many of Rapala's cranks). Compared to a Shad Rap it's supposed to run a little bit more erratic and hang up less according to Fritts. It's also designed to be easier than a Shad Rap to throw with a bait caster, which makes me happy. Plus at 6.99 apiece I'm a fan of the price as well.

NO NEW LURES, damn it! My shelves are full and I have to buy more shelves. However, it does look great. Okay, just one more lure.

Fishermen are so gullible. Smiley Cyrus( when is she leaving, anyway?) has a new video out!! I come from the time of Balsa Big-O's and putting #9 shot in Rattling Rogue's to suspend them. I have friends that think nuthin' of cranking a Magnum Hellbender off deep river(reservoirs) ledges...with their 5500's(still the only reel to take that punishment). LOCATION, location, erratic movement, those keys to cranks!! Ok.... rant over.... The added weight of the new Frank might be beneficial in casting distance..............sorry..........

I like it.......looks like my kind of lure. Probably plastic......ditch any rattles. Put a fas snap on it and some 6lb test and finesse deluxe. A guy could also get rid of the front treble, replace the rear with a salmon hook and put a mugombo grub on, little heavier line and crash bottom with it or sneak it through some weeds.

I know the Frenzy series, another Berkley product, definitely catches fish.

That is more than I'm willing to pay. Many sources on the internet for name brand lures at wholesale pricing allow me to purchase what I need for less than 4 dollars for a walleye sized crankbait. (usually less than 3 dollars)
