It is time to start the August 2008 Photo Contest. We are going to do a favorite this month.
There is again a special reward for this months contests. Along with winning a hat, Wilderness Passages Magazine, created by long time member QPassage, is giving a free copy of their great magazine and a 2 1/2 hour DVD of Quetico footage to the winner of the photo contest and trip report contest. The theme for this month's contest is "Sunsets and Sunrises". Post your best photos which capture Pines from the bwca/quetico region.

- You can only enter one photo per monthly contest. You can enter the same photo if it did not win in a previous month.
- You must be the photographer of the photo.

This will allow you to upload a photo from your computer to the contest or allow you to select a photo which you have already loaded into your photo gallery on this site. Moosecamp Lake sunrise Sept. 2007. Some people asked me if I added color to this pic but it's exactly the way it was that morning. It was certainly the reddest sky I have ever seen.

like most Trippers i have lots of sunset photos,some more
eye-popping than this,but i thought i would post it because
it was this first time i have see a sunset on Finger Lake.
this year i found that my favorite camp was taken and went
around the island to a camp set in four terraces cut out of
the hillside.for one guy it was ok and i got some nice sunset
photos..

Yes, very nice. I remember seeing this one about a year ago. The boy in the photo is probably a few inches taller by now. You got my vote (if I had one).
