REI Acme pants provide a great microclimate for sports that are strenuous and movement intensive. Pants thrive in nearly all weather except for hot/humid conditions; think trekking, mountain biking, mountaineering and backcountry skiing and packing. Schoeller Dryskin fabric offers excellent breathability, minimizing sweaty build-up during sustained, vigorous activity. It also provides great wind, water and abrasion resistance and 4-way stretch comfort. Durable Water Repellent finish causes water to bead up and roll off, fending off light rain showers and snow. Features jeans-style waistband with belt loops, zipper fly and button closure. Fully gusseted crotch and articulated knees allow great range of motion. Lower leg zippers with gussets and narrow bonded tab closures ease dressing and undressing. Double-needle stitching increases durability. Features 2 hand pockets, welded thigh pocket and rear welt pockets; sleek, reverse-coil zippers are bonded rather than sewn in. Windproof to 10 mph.
