I wear these fall through spring (with long underwear in winter). Super comfortable and everything they claim. Never thought of taking them anywhere in the summer, I think they'd be too hot. I have had them for years. Apparently though REI has changed the design and the new style gets bad reviews... Very unfortunate if they have significantly changed these pants.
