The Old Original Duluth Pack, I've had a couple I bought in 1975, they are still going strong. Not fancy, just good quality construction, last a life time.

last a lifetime, mine is now thirty five years old and going strong. the secret to enjoying this pack is to fit it with a cardboard box, inside of a heavy plastic bag. that's the way that sig olson used it. who are we to question sig olson?
