CANOE COUNTRY CABINS & CAMPGROUND is located 20 miles northeast of Ely on Moose Lake, gateway to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and famous Basswood Lake. Once you leave our docks you'll enter a vast wilderness lake region void of any resorts, roads, or private cabins. Moose, Newfound, Sucker, and Basswood Lake all feature excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass. These four lakes allow outboard motors up to 25 horsepower. Great fishing and scenery is also available on "canoe only" lakes such as Wind, Wood, Birch, Splash, and Ensign. Forest Service regulations limit access into the Moose Lake System so you’ll experience remoteness that the resort lakes closer to Ely cannot provide. - Housekeeping Cabins - Travel Trailer Rental - RV & Tent Campground
