Day 2 of 10
Tuesday, June 29, 2010 Camped on island just above Basswood Falls at mouth of bay to north. Quesadilla for dinner, fresh eggs and bacon for breakfast, taught my son about basted eggs, and off down Basswood River. My son brought a weeks of WSJ’s to catch up on. 
After reading, they were great for cleaning greasy pans (all that bacon and sausage first 4 days) and then burning. Will take some newspaper again for it’s utility. Explored falls. Curious as to wire rope - left over from logging days or something more recent?
This was on the island between two parts of falls. And forgive the pictures of plants and trees - I remain enthralled by the simple beauty of the flora in Canoe Country.
