Report
Hey everyone! My friend Ann and I are paddling from Minneapolis to Hudson Bay this summer, following the Canoeing With the Cree route. We are taking a 17.4 Langford prospector (gratefully donated by Stone Harbor in Grand Marais) and some Ostrom Outdoors packs. We are getting our food in bulk from the Valley Natural Foods co-op in Burnsville, MN.

We are paddling upstream on the Minnesota until we hit the Red, and then downstream to Lake Winnipeg. We are going to paddle up the East shoreline to Norway House and then go through a series of lakes to get to the Hayes River where we will end our trip at York Factory.

If anyone has paddled these rivers/lakes, please send us a note about your experience! We are trying to talk to as many people as possible to get some advice. You can also check out our website at www.hudsonbaybound.com.

Thanks!
