Trip Introduction:
After nurturing/cajoling/bribing/commanding each of my seven
kids, I finally got one that actually likes to fish as much
as
I do. He is starting med school next year so I figured I had
one last chance to trip with him before he is swallowed up
by
the American medical system.

Day 1 of 9
We started our voyage June 10th. We live in the upper peninsula of Michigan and it is a pretty drive to Crane lake. We made it to Scott's Marina by 2:30 for our 4 PM tow to Zups-which didn't happen till 5:30. We met 2 solo guys, Mike and Tim and had fun trading stories while we waited. We did make it to Zups through the 2 motorized portages in time for a nice dinner, and then were lullabyed to sleep by a passing storm.
