Trip Introduction:
This was the first of an annual trip. My good friend Shaun & I decided to leave our group behind and get some real peace and quiet.
Day 1 of 4
Friday, September 27, 2013 Great weather and with a bit of wind in our face, we set out from East Bearskin Lake with a final day one destination of Caribou lake. Once we arrived we had planned on setting up camp/doing a little fishing. As usual the plan did not pan out. There were no empty camp sites on the lake and we were forced to continue to Pine Lake until we found an open site. Once on Pine we were faced with a pretty head strong wind, and a bit of chop. 1 hour later we reached our destination and set camp just before the sun went down.

The camp we were forced to take was at the top of a steep 30' cliff face.. tough hike up/down with the gear, but the view was very rewarding!
