i had it at around 150-about 10% over the plotted distance on topocanada listed on the route sheet, so we're real close. i had a few more portages, but we ran or lined around some i had marked. i'm sure glad we had some water in there because it would have been completely different with even 1' less. the count on the lines and tracks would have been higher, and the approaches to the portage landings more challenging.

i'll need an extra large bowl of popcorn for the read. looking forward to it. better get it done or it's going to interfere with bow season.

I still have been working on my Wabakimi trip report. I've finished typing up the first draft from my journal. So far the report is 57 pages long. Yes, its has more detail that I thought it was going to have.

Here are some facts about the trip:

Distance: 231.5 km (145 miles)

Portages: 44

Swifts paddled: 23

Swifts / Rapids lined or tracked: 9

Pullovers: 3

58 pages without photos is going to be one heck of a report. my report on my northwest trip in 07 was 70 pages, so i can understand what it takes to put it together, proof, etc.

i vote to include all the photos you can. is the report going to stream on your blog rather than have each day a file?-easier to read if it streams.

The trip report is DONE!!!!! 58 pages!!! Detailed...yes!

It still will be a while before I get it posted on the blog I set up for this trip, because of all the photos I want to include.

I'm still in the "thinking phase" on how I want to do the photos together with the narrative. If all the photos take away from the narrative, making the narrative choppy and hard to read, I may limited the number of photos and then put the photos in a slideshow.

Dave believe me I want to get this done as much as you want to read the report. I've spent a lot of time on this so far.

Can't wait to read the report. Could you do a little of both. Include some of the photos in the report and do a slide show?

Dave,

I started a week ago posting photos. My hope was to do just one post but due to the number of photos I can't or I should say it would take forever to delete (edit) all the spaces that are created when I post the photos.

I'm still posting the narrative and photos in reverse order so when I'm done it will read like a narrative. It will have a separate post for each day except my last post has I think three days. The last days post (when I did it first) was when I realized I couldn't do it as one complete post.
