A rather potent storm system (actually a series of several followed by a potential potent one late in the upcoming week) will usher in unseasonably cold temps and snow cover. Areas that see the fresh/deepest snow cover will likely be below 0F by Friday the 9th if the skies clear out. At this time it appears to be over the Arrowhead, though, even parts of IA,NE,MO may see single digits if the snow flies.

PLEASE STAY OFF any lakes that form ice. It may have been a cool Fall and all but the bottoms of lakes and the water column is still far too warm to form good, thick ice especially over deeper water. I still remember the couple that lost their live on RED last year around Thanksgiving. Please wait!!

I will also add that near to above normal temps should return for the middle part of NOV. Around Thanksgiving is the period that I'am , along with others, trying to figure out if the current stormy/cold pattern will return or not.

Thanks for the forecast, and reminder warning, WW. Guess its time for me to dig my snow shovels out of storage.
