Last weekend on Parent we had about 16" on the lake and there was a little slush around the lake edges and a ton anywhere a hole was punched so look out for human activity on any lake you travel!

Someone probably has some first hand knowledge of what's happening over on the Gunflint, but if conditions there are like they are in the Ely area, slush seems probable. It really got slushy on some of the local lakes around Ely after the last couple bigger snowfalls - first time this winter.

Anyone have a slush report for the Bearskin Lakes area? Big and small lakes.

I see snow depths in the woods mid Gunflint are 30 inches, you would think there must be some slush?

Was in that area (Clearwater, West Pike) about a month ago. There were small pockets of slush but, for the most part, nothing too serious as travel was fairly easy. Of course that was about a month ago....

Sounds like Ely finally did get some snow.

Our group went up last Thursday and came out on Sunday. We entered at Clearwater, traveled through Deer, Moon, East Bearskin, Alder and exited East Bearskin. There was slush everywhere...traveling was by far the worst I have experienced. The area had 20" of snow earlier in the week and did not receive any of the snow this past weekend.
