Yes! It seemed unsettled just about all week with rain off and on most days through the weekend.
It made for some very good fishing between showers.

I did a trip from the Gunflint down to Brule between Sunday and Friday. Rained most of the paddle from Cross River to Rib Lake where we set up camp on Sunday. Monday a couple of off and on showers where we set up for two days on Long Island. Tuesday night between 2 :00 and 4:30 in the morning (early Wed,) we got about 4 inches of rain. I got soaked in my hammock. Spent Wednesday on Cherokee and Thursday with a few short showers on South Temperance. Paddled across Brule on Friday morning with sunshine and wind to our backs.

Was sleeping in the truck @ Stuart River EP Tuesday night before entering Wednesday morning and I'm sure glad I wasn't out in a tent for that. Storm just missed us to the NW on Wednesday evening while camped on Stuart. Then it was pretty sunny the rest of the week until Saturday when it rained pretty hard again.

Rained every day and every night while we were up there last week, but it didn't keep us from spotted 3 moose and a bear.

Yep, unsettled was the name for it. We were on a mudro/friday bay loop. It seemed that every time we would hang things in the sun to dry, it would start raining again. The teases of warm sun were nice, though- and I like paddling in cooler weather. It reminded me of a september trip with long days and more bugs.

Took this picture last Wednesday from Crooked Lake looking west towards Iron. I love watching storms...from a safe distance :) Good, solid rain Tuesday night. About 3 inches according to my coffee mug. The rain gear pretty much went with us everywhere. Anyone else experience the rapidly changing weather in the BW last week?
