I still have a cannon z 135 in the drawer with 18 pics still left on the film. Any takers :)

Checked on ebay and some film cameras once worth $300+ going for $35-$45 if your very lucky.

Top end name brand stuff from back in the day still has value especially fast prime manual focus lenses (i.e. F1.8 or lower, 85mm). The new Sony full frame bodies with internal image stabilization breathe new and amazing life back into old gear.

I've taken some phenomenal images with top end Nikon and Minolta lenses attached to the Sony a7ii series. The old lenses tend to be lower resolved than modern sensors (except old macro lenses) but afford character that is unique.

Got any old Minolta Rokkor lenses?

Check KEH.com for Market value as a function of condition.

I donated a couple of mine to collage students that were taking the photography course. They are still teaching the use of film cameras.

Like some or many of you had or have fairly expensive cameras that took film that now sit in the closet. Probably they are worthless? Anyone still use film if you can still get it?
Do you just recycle it?

If the lenses are nice, they have some value on ebay- there is a trend right now of fixing old lenses to modern cameras. No idea what to do with the camera bodies.

There is definitely still a market for film cameras, particularly good ones that have been well cared for. Look up the model/lens on Ebay/craigslist and see what the going rate for it is.

I work in the Art Dept. at Normandale College.
We accept donated 35 mm film cameras, with a standard 50 mm or small zoom lens. If you donate camera equipment, our foundation office will give you a form, & the value of the donated items can then be deducted on your taxes. We then check over the cameras, perform any needed repairs, and then check them out for students to use in our darkroom & non-darkroom photography classes.
