Just got back from 6 days out the skeets were bad the first couple of days. The flys were the most annoying after that.

Does anybody have an updated bug report for BWCA and/or Quetico? Anybody just back? How were the bugs?

Just back from Crocodile. The mosquitoes weren't bad at all. Some at dusk but that was mostly it.

Left the Brule Lake area on monday. Very few mosquitoes, no deer flies. Have a good time.

Rick, that Savage river canoe is so fast you won't have any problem. Acually, bugs are way down. (Any left will drown we have so much rain.)

Hi Ben, it's monsoon season here in Minnesota. All the rain and cool weather had me concerned about the bugs.
The forecast shows less rain in the near future, it will be nice if it turns out that way.

We got some eater walleye and perch...some...not big numbers. We only had lures, no live bait. The portage was crazy on Saturday, with a steady stream of people. We stayed on the Eastern end of Croc and saw no one after Saturday.
