Underwater obstructions? I think he may need to keep an eye out for sweepers.

My wife had a cousin decide to stay put in Corpus Christi and they survived with minor damage. She has several other cousins in the Houston area. They have asked anyone with a boat to help rescue people. One of her cousins reported on Facebook last night that he rescued 43 people yesterday and was going to head back out this morning. Another cousin texted her overnight saying that they are stuck in their neighborhood because of downed trees blocking the only entrance to their subdivision.

That's smart to be prepared! Be careful of underwater hazards like fire hydrants and obey all traffic signs when canoeing.

This is my method of getting back home when I get released from work in a couple of days.
Co-workers could not believe how much gear I brought to work. Cook set, stove, fuel, and bedding.
