I sat in a canoe in the middle of a lake at midnight this weekend near the BWCA watching for Northern lights. It was cold, but the walleyes were hitting top water. We saw nothing but it was beautiful .

The aurora forecast for next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday look very promising.

We saw them in the UP around 9:30pm EST. It was pretty high in the sky. I wish I would have gotten further from light pollution, I'm sure it would have been spectacular.

Yes, but very washed out by moonlight. Certainly not the spectacular display that was expected by some.

The last few days the sun has been belching out some real strong solar flares. Their impact can been seen tonight.

KP index is at 8 now.
