I keep an eye on canoeing stuff for sale on e-bay. Remember the $90k Duluth Pack? Well here is a map to go with it...

I have this map set in very good condition. It is dated 1952. This map is of the Basswood, Boot Lake area. Notice no bwca lines. Also you can see the resorts are marked on Basswood and other lakes now in the bwca. Also Murphy Lake in now Tin Can Mike Lake.

That is really entertaining - I bet we could all sell off a bunch of those and still have plenty left in the "pack out" room.

Any maps that are 1953 and earlier, usually have old logging camps and cabins within the BWCA included on them. This is definitely a classic, but not worth the asking price. Contact the Fisher Company in Virginia, and they may be able to reproduce one of them.

Me too! I'm getting those old Fisher and Mackenzies out and putting them on E-Bay!

Heck, I've got dozens of the 100 series maps. and many dating back to the 1950s made of non-waterproof paper. Never thought of selling them.
