I don't have any of her in the canoe, no one around to take the shot. But, I have one of her at our campsite, and one of the picture she drew and gave to me when we got home.

At our campsite:

I love this song and I hope the number of photos isn't too much to try and choose from.... but my annual daddy/daughter trip w/ one of the ducklings is my favorite time of the year. I figured it was better to post more so you could pick what fits with the song/video

I emailed 2 videos. One of each duckling paddling. I have more but couldn't find them on the computer. I'll send them if I can find them.

These are all just wonderful! Thank you! Yes, I'm planning on putting it up on you tube. I'm actually waiting for Kevin Callan to send me some of he and his daughter and once I get those, I'll start editing. This is going to be really fun, thank you all!

I was coming across a portage last summer when I meet a family coming the other way.

I notice 3 young ladies 8 to 12 or so there was one slender one with long wavy blond hair down to her waist carrying a good size pack .

I told her dad that it was nice to see that he was breaking his daughters in the right way making them do their fair share.

I was then informed by the child that her was a boy not a girl and that he gets that comment all the time.

I thought to myself no kidding.

What is this world coming to as a young boy and all the young boys I knew wouldn't have been caught dead looking like that. Nor would our parents allowed it.

I know I some what old fashioned but that young lad is in for a rough life.

My daughter was a late bloomer on the canoe scene, but has become a seasoned tripper, and after her working three summers at Tuscarora Outfitters, sometimes I think "I" go canoeing with "her".

While it is very nice of you to think of us, we have never taken a canoe trip with our granddaughter. Just cabin weeks with day trips. We did have a canoe trip with our daughter once a very long time ago in Algonquin, but it doesn't qualify as a "father-daughter" trip, and Jerry will have lots of nice photos to choose from.

What an awesome song. It brought back tons of memories. Here are a few from her first trip to BWCA in 2012 and from her last one (so far) Quetico 2016

Here's a bunch for you Jerry! My daughters Amy and Katie! Most of the pictures were taken in the BWCAW. (Their brother Anthony and our old Golden Retriever Baily snuck into a few of these photos too.) The picture with the ugly pier was taken at Kawishiwi Lodge on Lake One as we prepared to launch for our canoe trip when Amy was 2-years old. A few were taken on the Wisconsin River and one from the Kickapoo River.

The picture with daughter Katie and the dug out canoe was taken at the Ishnala Supper Club on Mirror Lake. Several times a year we camp at Mirror Lake State Park and paddle over the the Ishnala and eat. Although not an overnight trip, paddling Mirror Lake offers access to Lake Delton and "The Dells" of the Wisconsin River. Many great day trips, and a few overnight trips, have been launched from Mirror Lake State Park in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

After Devil's Cascade. The kids were younger then. Both my daughter and son are now teenagers but that was a golden moment.

My daughter Hannah who has worked as a canoe guide and is currently in Rwanda for a year of mission, outreach, teaching and service. So proud. She'll be back this summer and I wish I could have a new canoe waiting for her to show her how proud I am.

Hey everyone,
I just finished writing and recording a song called "Canoeing With Daddy" that is written by me, Kevin Callan and his daughter Kayla. The song is sung by a 9 year old girl here in Nashville.

I'm wanting to make a slide show video of the song with photos of your father/daughter trips. I will be giving credit to you as well. If you post them here, I'll consider that permission to use. If you have some short video shots as well, you can email them to me.

Here is a link to an mp3 of the master on soundcloud: Canoeing With Daddy

Thank you in advance!
Jerry
