Found 13 today in my usual patch which is about normal. Looks like the rain popped them out over the weekend. Found this whopper. Size 11 shoe :)

I remember going morel hunting as a kid with my grandparents. Loved them. As I became a teenager, I lost interest and with that the knowledge of what to hunt for and where.

I know your locations are a closely held secret, as much as a good fishing hole. But, in the off chance anyone of you are up to teaching an old guy old tricks...I would love to go mushroom hunting some day.

Only five this year and not many last year. Went from winter to summer in a week with no rain. A few years ago it was a different story.
the rather large one my buddy found.

Yep. My usual patch has small ones (checked last weekend). After the rain this week they should be ready by the weekend.

I've been skunked in 3 counties around the Twin Cities so far. I know others have had luck, but not me..Agree, we need rain!
