If it was closer to a week notice, never know what may happen." I have a ton of vacation time, and my company just recently got sold. Seriously, next time let me know! If not, I have a permit for August 13 at the Missing Link entry. Let's go! :) |

It makes finding the Walleye bite a bit tough, and lots of families that month. Despite being 53, I still play softball with my Son and his friends. That's right about the time we play in the State Softball tournament. It might be the 11th and 12th. Not sure. My son's best friend is getting married sometime in August. I will have to check it out. Who's going with you August 13th? |

I have only done one trip in August and that was right at the beginning of the month. Walleyes were definitely tougher around that time but I just looked for moving water and crossed my fingers. Right now there are a couple potential people that might go, but realistically it will probably end up being a solo. |

ozarkpaddler: "You're killing me! Pics and a trip report, please. One of these I'm going to make that detour off Sag." One of these years, I'm going to keep going straight, and fish Knife and kek. Either that, or a lake in Q is on my shortlist. Need to get a kevlar before then though. |

If anyone wants to scratch it with me, I could be packed and ready to go in 6 hours. I usually base camp on Zephyr. If anyone wants to go fishing for a few days, we could leave at 2 am tomorrow, be on the water by 9 am, Zephyr by 1 pm tomorrow. Come home Tuesday or Wednesday. I could provide everything you need, except personal gear, and a sleeping bag. Note, I've been known snore though. I bring all the amenities. Chairs for instance. Steaks, eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc. If you're interested, and we can work it out, I'll make some arrangements, there are plenty of permits available on Sag for tomorrow. anal_yzer_guy@yahoo.com My preference would be a BWCA.com regular, but we can discuss it. |
