With the recent losses of members, member's family and friends of members I was wondering if a new forum may be in order. I have only met in person one member of our community. However, I have become acquainted with a number of community members simply by reading posts here. If we had such a forum, it would be an easy way to folks to locate information about someone who has passed and about how much they mean to those of us who are still paddling on in this life.

That's a great idea, Tom.

You should start one yourself in the private forum area. If you start it then that means you will be the moderator on that forum.

I agreed, disagreed or just smiled and read on but people like Jan left their mark and it's still here...."
I've looked for it but not found it. Specifics if you could?

Please go ahead. I can’t commit to moderating a forum. You posted a nice picture. Amok was one person I had in mind. Same with Jan.

Butthead, I think he just meant that the whole forum is sort of a memorial because you sometimes come across old threads with our lost members. That happens even more on a lymphoma forum I’m on. Every once in a while someone posts on an old thread and those of us who are old timers see names and faces we remember so well.
I do like the idea of a memorial forum. There could be a thread for each person and people could post comments and links to favorite threads or posts of that person.

That was my first take, but asked anyway.
It is now a personal forum open to all members. Maybe in the future Adam will add it to the regular forums. For those who paddled on.

I would really prefer to not be the subject of this prospective forum for many years, although it is a great idea.
