They have been discovered in at least 3 states.
A little more info on Long Horned ticks

Yes, they were reported in New Jersey but slowly moving north (and probably west as well). If we get consistent negative temps, below -4F, that should theoretically keep them out or the populations down, particularly in our great white north.
