Agreed that she is a fantastic photographer. And at her request, I stuck a copyright on the photo."

Great photo! I've only seen a handful of Pine Martens but I see Mink all the time on the river. They're not always the perfect, uniform, dark brown that's almost black. Occasionally they'll be a much lighter brown color like this one that's darn near blonde. Regardless, I LOVE that photo!

I mentioned this photo, which my wife took, in a post about our recent, short trip. And someone asked to see it. Here it is. The pine marten had just swum across in front of us and then did a u-turn around this rock before climbing up the back side. I think it was hiding from us but was revealed as we glided past.

Looks to me like a mink rather than a pine marten. Rounded ears and it's affinity for water (Pine Martens not so fond of the wet).

Mink, indeed, but a great shot regardless.

Nice photos. Reminds me of the time in my life when we had ferrets.

Great comeback story

Its recovery has been awesome, they are actually now quite abundant in the northeastern part of the state. I have seen them chasing red squirrels in trees, They love eating red squirrels.

A nice photo of a mink.

You need new wild life cards.

I trapped hundreds of mink and seen many in the wild.
