Not about the BWCA, Quetico, WCPP, etc. but beautiful rivers to paddle. I am planning to go to this event on Saturday night in Hayward and thought I'd share. If anyone from BWCA.com is going, I'd love to meet up with you there.

ST. CROIX & NAMEKAGON RIVERS — The Enduring Gift
PARK CENTER, HAYWARD WI August 11th, 7:30 FREE!
Craig Blacklock photography
Peter Mayer music

Journey down these incredible rivers through Craig Blacklock's award-winning photography videos and Peter Mayer's live music.

Craig will have pre-signed books at the event, and be happy to personalize them after the program. An exhibition of photographs from the book is currently on display at CHARAC and the Weiss Library.

A portion of the book sales will benefit the St. Croix River Association, which is sponsoring this FREE event.

Sounds like a fun event to benefit a great area. My cabin is about 5 miles from the Namekagon river which one of my favorite places to canoe. I will be home waiting on my wife post surgery or else I would try to make it.

OneMatch: "Peter Mayer is great and not to be missed! Have a great time there."

Thanks, OneMatch. I've been missing seeing up north. So enjoyed coming to see you and your OneMatch Band in Two Harbors at their summer festival, meeting you and other Flying Moosers. Can't believe that been over five years ago but my camera tells me it was July, 2013.
