Never been, just remember them coming past when I stayed at Frontier Resort on the Ash River and thinking they looked nice. I loved Frontier Resort, but would not consider it as higher end.

Higher end. Do a fly in to a remote resort in Canada. Wollaston lake lodge is top end.

I can definitely recommend "Nelson's Resort" (on Crane Lake). Launched out of there a few times into Voyageurs and have spent the night couple of times. They have boats, guide service, restaurant, bar, store, lodge etc. It's a great place. Lots of cabins to choose from but don't think you'd describe them as "high end". Not sure a truly high end place exists right around Voyageurs. While providing a lot of amenities and activities, most are pretty "woodsy" and somewhat rustic. The newest (I'm aware of) is Northern Lights Resort on Kabetogama. Their cabins are probably the most updated I've seen.

I was asked by a friend for recommendations for a resort / lodge near Voyageur National Park, as well as potential outfitter / guide options. The person would definitely be interested in higher end over economy. I've never made my way up there, so I didn't have anything solid.
Any ideas? If nothing else, any "non" recommendations?
Thanks!

I would say rent a Cabin off AIRBNB or VRBO,there is at least a few nice ones on Crane but they are spendy. Voyageurs Lodge on Crane is a fairly new building, I think it is only 4 years old or something like that. Very clean and decent restaurant, I've stayed there while fishing a few times. The rooms are not high end but they are new and not beat up and have nice decor. Compared to some of the places I've stayed up there (Pine Point Lodge) it seems like the Ritz.

You ever been in one of those? For what they get per night I'd expect them to be much nicer but most of them are pretty dated from what I've seen. You might get lucky and get one of the newer ones but most fleets only have a few of those and they tend to be the smaller units, at least from what I've seen.
