Great time had by all at Appleton Octoberfest. Great food, cold beer and excellent music. The Vic Ferrari Band that played from 2:30 - 5:30 pm was awesome. I think I heard 100,000 in attendance with food, music and beverage spanning over a mile long College Avenue in downtown Appleton. We will surely be back again. Our group went to Lambeau Field and took in the 8 pm Stadium Tour. I would highly recommend it. Leaving hotel tomorrow at 7 am to tailgate before the noon Packer vs Bills game. |

Jackfish: "Wally13 (Mike), his wife and a few friends are in town to go to the Packers game tomorrow vs Buffalo so they took in the Octoberfest celebration in Appleton this afternoon. It was great to have a nice visit and talk canoeing a bit with him. Handsome dudes. I'm assuming that no beer was consumed..... :) and no canoeing stories were swapped... |

This was seen at the tailgate. Hard to tell which is which. It’s the way to ‘tailgate’ over there. |

Yes “Shame on me for sporting a Packers hat this weekend while in Appleton for Octoberfest and at the Packers vs. Bills game. I have been a Bears fan for the last 34 years but felt the need to “fit in” with the “Cheesehead” crowd here in Wisconsin this week. It was fun to hook up with old friends and Jackfish like. My group and I did go to the 8 pm Lambeau Field Stadium Tour and had a great time. I would highly recommend the Lambeau Tour to anyone at any time . |
